How to use the browser to translate

The browser can be used to automatically translate the text on any page. It can be used in the browser on both desktop and laptop computers, as well as on smartphones and tablets (PC/Mac and Android/iOS).

Keep in mind that the translation may be inaccurate, but an approximate translation is probably better than not being able to access and understand the information at all, for example, in patient information.

The guide must be opened in a Google Chrome browser to be translated (not the built-in Safari browser).

1. Open in Chrome browser

The guide must be opened in Google Chrome to be translated.

Open the patient information/page that needs to be translated in a Google Chrome browser.
Press the three dots in the bottom right corner.

2. Tab ”Translate”

3. Choose language

Select the language to which the patient information should be translated by clicking on the cogwheel icon.

1. Open the page in Chrome browser

Tab the three dots in the top right corner.

2. Tab "Translate"

Tab the menu item "Translate" (or ”Oversæt” if in Danish).

3. Choose language

Select the language to which the page should be translated.

Click on the cogwheel icon and "More languages."

Both Android and iPhone smartphones can read text aloud / enable voice over.

How to get the browser to translate to another language on a computer (PC or Mac).

1. Right click on web page choose: Translate to

Right click somewhere on the page where there's no link tekst. Choose "Translate to" / "Translate to English" in the menu.

2. Click on the three dots, choos another language

Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the browser vindow. Choose: "Choose another language".
